Liverpool's Star Extends Regret to Teammates, Reveals Curtis Jones

The Liverpool midfielder has shared that Salah said sorry to the entire Liverpool squad after the uproar from his public comments.

What Happened

Salah was left out from a vital match following making accusations and stating his rapport with Arne Slot had broken down.

“Mo is his own man and he can say his own stuff,” the midfielder said. “He apologised to us and was like: ‘If I’ve affected anybody, I apologise.’”

Arne Slot has chosen not to comment publicly on whether he received a personal apology from the veteran striker.

Team Unity

The player stated that the squad's reaction was unchanged. “He was the exact same Mo, he had a big smile on his face and we all treated him normally,” he continued.

He also suggested that a teammate fighting for a place is a positive trait. “It's clear there are different methods you can express yourself,” he said. “However, if a player is content to just sit out, then I think that’s concerning.”

On-Field Response

The team's performance have been impressive in the games following the initial controversy. He feels the outburst were never meant to destabilise the squad.

“When there’s been any sort of anger, it has consistently come from a place of caring,” the midfielder stated. “It's behind us and we’re uniting strongly, getting results and securing victories.”
